“Connected Heritage” Exhibition

  • New Iceland Museum Suite 108 - 94 1st Ave Gimli, Manitoba Canada (map)

Articulation Texture Group’s “Connected Heritage” Exhibition at the The New Iceland Museum.

Amanda Onchulenko is a member of Articulation, a Textile collective comprised of 6 Canadian textile artists from Manitoba to Vancouver Island. The group meets annually in Canadian locations to research, study, support, develop, inspire, create and exhibit together.
In 2016 the group visited Gimli and the surrounding area to explore the Interlake landscape and cultural connections specific to the region.

Inspired by the heritage of this unique destination, Amanda, along with members of Articulation Textile Group, expressed their personal responses in textiles using fabric, thread, paint, dye, wool and mixed media, making connections to the heart of the Canadian nation and the legacy of its people.
